Skill Set
Strong skills in Java, J2EE and associated technologies.
Strong hands-on experience in WebLogic Portal development v8.1 and 10.x
Experience migrating from WebLogic Portal 8 to 10 or similar
Strong understanding of WebLogic Portal framework deployment and configuration
Strong understanding of WebLogic Portal framework upgrade process to the latest 10.x platform
Hands-on knowledge of WebLogic Security framework
Strong experience developing and configuring applications for Oracle WebLogic Portal and Server versions 8 – 10, formerly BEA WebLogic Portal
Strong experience developing Java applications for the web, including using Java Enterprise Java Beans (EJBs), Java Server Pages (JSPs), Java Servlets, and Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) technology
Knowledge of application servers (Weblogic/Jboss)
Knowledge of Webservices
Hands-on experience in troubleshooting application performance issues
 
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
Languages: Java, Java Beans, JSP, SQL and PL/SQL, HTML, XML
Frameworks: J2EE, Apache Struts, JSF, NetUI
API's: Portlets, Servlets, EJBs, Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI)
Software: Eclipse and OEPE, WebLogic Workshop, Toad, SQL/Plus
Databases:  Oracle
OS: Windows, Linux, Unix
Servers: WebLogic Portal and Server
 
Roles and responsibilities
Architect solution options for upgrade of application servers from legacy version to current vendor supported versions (Weblogic Portals)
Lead the technical implementation of all requested application changes
Trouble shoot critical technical issues at client location
Work closely with the offshore team to assign the tasks to them and follow up with clients for all the information requested by offshore.
