Job Description:
Analyze all aspects of the existing infrastructure and recommends modifications that will enhance system reliability, availability, serviceability and scalability.
Evaluate new developments and recommend infrastructure modifications.
Assist in defining standards, guidelines, best practices and metrics.
Evaluates system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
Knowledge of fundamental concepts of distributed, complex enterprise deployments: networking, communication protocols, VLANs, multi-tiered environments, virtualization technologies, storage, hypervisors, routing, monitoring, storage connectivity, capacity planning, file systems, backups, load balancing, firewalls.
Experience configuring, deploying, and supporting highly available and redundant. infrastructures: clustering, HA, load balancing, disaster recovery.
Experience configuring virtual interfaces, multipathing, and bonding.
