Summary:
This role is responsible for designing, implementing, operating and maintaining the Cardinal Health cloud environment. This includes various operating systems and cloud platforms.
Assist in Design/Architecture of AWS, Azure or other hybrid cloud solutions.
Help define IT and business processes that work well with cloud deployments.
Troubleshoot technical issues and drive issue escalation with other teams.
Provide 24 X 7 operations for Cloud Hosting Services.
Contribute and enhance Security policies and procedures for Cloud Services.
Implement System Management Tools to provide monitoring and management of all Cloud infrastructure.
Define and report Key Performance Indicators to monitor process health; define and report Customer facing service metrics.
Conduct System Outage Analysis to prevent the reoccurrence of incidents.

Qualifications
Familiarity with virtualization and cloud platforms, especially AWS and VMware (vCenter and vCloudDirector, vSphere 5 and 6)
Proven experience with Linux and/or Windows System administration and engineering experience, specifically RedHat Linux 6 and Windows 2012
Experience with AWS RDS
Scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, Ruby, PHP, etc.
Understanding of firewalls, NAT and packet filtering (specifically IPtables)
Experience with application load balancing solutions for scaling and High Availablity
Foundational knowledge in networking technologies (Layer 2 & 3 switches, TCP/IP, SNMP, etc.)
Ability and flexibility to join in on an on-call rotation for escalations in support of our 24x7x365 operation
Certifications in AWS platform (SysOps, DevOps, Architecture) considered a plus for this position.
