Required skills
Strong AIX v5.x, 6.x, 7.x knowledge on Power 6,7,8, servers.
Strong knowledge of VIO server 2.2, IBM Power Virtualization, creation and management of virtual servers.
Experience with Live Partition Mobility and NPIV, NIM.
Strong integration experience with Host Bus Adapter and Network Interface Card deployment, Virtual Input / Output Server deployment and utilization, and configuring network and Enterprise Storage for use with the POWER servers. -Strong Hardware Management Console and its use in dynamic reconfiguration of system resources such as memory and processor allocations.
Installation/configuration/integration execution experience of all Operating System, Infrastructure, and supporting Application software stack components. -Software and firmware maintenance, including upgrades and patching.
Migration experience to move existing POWER workloads to future POWER servers.
Provide and implement performance tuning recommendations
