GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the certification and design of new platform technologies
Participation in Technical Advisory Group(s) as necessary
Requires in depth knowledge of supported operating systems, utilities, vendor products, applicable programming languages, diagnostic techniques, database management systems, benchmarking methodologies, applicable communications protocols, applicable hardware configurations, use of statistical and analytical tools for system monitoring and evaluation.
In depth knowledge of technology, network, data and applications architectures.
Ability to communicate with various levels and types of end users is also required.
Maintain frequent interaction with internal and vendor technical staffs and project managers to ensure effective delivery of solutions in accordance with project timelines and associated budgets.
Provide technical leadership and responsibility for the installation and certification of all supporting software and hardware in order to assure a sound deployment basis for production implementations.
Business continuity solutions and assists in developing plans for disaster recovery.
Identifies and documents Linux processes and procedures.
Certification for multiple hardware platforms and the interrelationship / Interoperability of different operating systems and complex environments.

AREA OF EXPERIENCE
Must have 5+ years experience in deploying technically complex infrastructure computing solutions across platforms and components.
5+ years experience with VMware
5+ years Citrix Engineering, Administration, Troubleshooting
Experience in automating tasks using PowerCLI, Powershell or C#.
Proven track record of project delivery results.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively are essential.
Solid understanding and experience with operating system concepts and practical implementation of those fundamentals in a large-scale production environment.
Working knowledge and experience with key ITIL processes is required.
Previous application development coding, debugging, testing and delivery into a production environment are highly desirable.
A solid understanding of compute performance metrics and tools is highly desirable, to include understanding of CPU utilization levels, CPU and disk queuing, I/O response times, and other key performance indicators and their impact on performance.
1+ years experience with network fundamentals and performance principles, including a firm understanding of TCPIP protocols
