Java Liferay Programmer
Chicago, IL
4-6 Months Contract
Local for face to face interview
Specific Required Knowledge / Skills:
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
At least 5+ years of total Java development experience with and 4+ years on Spring framework and 2+ years experience working with Liferay.
Excellent user interface design and implementation experience.
Strong experience in MS SQL Server database with ability to write and debug SQL queries.
Strong Liferay 6.2 implementation on Tomcat/TC Server on both windows and Linux platform including plugins development with Portlets, Hooks, Extensions and Themes.
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Liferay Portal administration , including the following tasks:
Installation and configuration of development and production environments
Platform administration through the Control Panel
Application design and development
Strong hands-on experience in writing and deploying portlets, extensions, hooks and themes on Liferay 6.2
Design and implementation of custom page layouts
Database configuration
Organization of users and pages across collection types
Configuration and custom styling of out-of-box applications
Integration with legacy third-party applications
Proficiency in HTML 5, CSS 3 and Javascript
Experience with developing Kaleo Forms and Kaleo Workflows
Strong Initiative with good verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated experience working within a team environment.
Proven ability to work w/ minimal supervision & adhere to schedules.
Highly desirable to have familiarity with BCBSA development processes and methodologies.
