Java Flex Developer

6-12 Months Contract
60% HTML5/JAVA & 40% FLEX
We require an experienced HTML5/Java developer with Adobe Flex and a proven delivery track record and strong analysis/technical skills is required to work within the Advisory Client Management Team Application Delivery group. This individual will work across the portfolio of Client Data applications used by several thousand sales and research staff across the Investment Bank.

Responsibilities
The candidate would be responsible for:
Application development activities, including analysing stories, writing code, implementing automated tests, contributing to release and iteration planning and developing the working practices of the team
To be a technical leader within the Client Management group. Contribute to a strong team culture, underpinned by a passion for effectively developing quality software.
Influencing the wider technical community within UBS through promoting best practices and pro-actively investigating and proposing new technologies for use within the department
to identify and address risks and issues impacting application delivery. Pro-actively take steps to mitigate or address.
To deliver a quality product. Ensure technical excellence throughout all stages of product development.

Excellent conceptual grasp of all aspects of software development gained by involvement in the full project lifecycle of multiple substantial projects, ideally using Agile development methodologies.
A proven track record developing enterprise-class applications
A strong developer in HTML5, Javascript, Flex, Java, Spring, Maven and Oracle PL/SQL
Strong communicator – able to interface with key business and technology stakeholders
Strong team culture and knowledge sharing attributes
Able to work effectively under pressure
