Role: SAN Storage Administrator
Duration: 12+ Month Contract
Location: Chicago, IL

This individual functions as storage administrator. The administrator is required to have strong knowledge of software performance as related to San storage to troubleshoot issues. The administrator also would be required to upgrade, configure, install, tune, monitor, mentor, lead and participate in subject matter projects.
General Experience:
Experience managing and maintaining SAN storage units and fibre switches
Experience with SAN architecture, design and enhancements
Experience in SAN storage performance analysis and monitoring within the server and application activities
Experience leading SAN projects and teams
Experience in generating or modifying scripts in Shell, KornShell, Perl, C++ or similar languages
Experience in maintaining and managing Tivioli Storage Manager or other backup methodologies
Experience maintaining SAN replication between arrays in a multiple datacenter environment

Must be proficient with diagnostics tools for the SAN storage and servers

Microsoft system administration experience a plus
Knowledge of Linux/ UNIX particularly AIX 6.1+, AIX 7.1, RHEL 5.x, 6.x and/or Vmware 5.x is a plus
