RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: A Senior Engineer is responsible for developing application changes and providing multiple solutions to complex problems. This position provides software development skills and troubleshooting skills that are used to support the successful development and maintenance of the Manufacturing Order Management (M.O.M.) system. This position also provides recommendations for improving the design and efficiency of the M.O.M. system. In addition, this position requires interfacing with Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Management, YORKworks Sales Software, M.O.M. users and with external resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: A Senior Engineer is responsible for developing application changes and providing multiple solutions to complex problems. This position provides software development skills and troubleshooting skills that are used to support the successful development and maintenance of the Manufacturing Order Management (M.O.M.) system. This position also provides recommendations for improving the design and efficiency of the M.O.M. system. In addition, this position requires interfacing with Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Management, YORKworks Sales Software, M.O.M. users and with external resources.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The candidate must be able work with and in the following environments: Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, C#, .NET Framework, WPF, WCF, .NET Remoting, ASP.NET, IIS, Team Foundation Server, Microsoft SQL Server 2010, SQL. The candidate must also have skills in client/server design, multi-tier design, object oriented methodologies, schema design, connectivity methodologies, GUI design & development, and full life cycle development (SDLC). Strong product knowledge of air handling units, product configurators and M.O.M. System is a plus. To perform this job successfully, the candidate must/have:
Strong math and/or engineering background.
Adhere to the Company's Code of Conduct and Business Ethics Standards.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on more than one project at a time with exceptional attention to detail.
Follow priority and direction for changes/additions to the application.
Flexibility to work within a variety of development and product teams.
Ability to assimilate and provide recommendations with new and emerging technologies.
High degree of interpersonal skills including both oral and written communication.
Communicate status of projects and application stability.
Communicate effectively with personnel to convert customer requirements into product specifications.
Must be able to communicate and understand technical material produced by engineers, programmers, designers, drafters, and product management personnel.
Proficiency with Windows operating systems and MS Office Suite.
